About Me

Leo Truant

My name is Leo Truant and I am currently a second year student at SAIT in Architectural Technologies.

My architectural journey began after I graduated high school. I attended Mount Royal University for two semesters in Open Studies. I took a variety of courses, but the one that captivated me the most was Intro to Architecture, where I learned about the big names and their design philosophies. I made efforts to interview various architects and designers in Calgary, where I first learned about SAIT’s Architectural Technologies program.

I applied, and I actually got accepted! After I completed my first year, an exchange study abroad opportunity was presented to me - a six month journey to Horsens, Denmark at VIA University College. Here, I would take their Architectural Technologies/Construction Management course. I took the opportunity head on, and spent half a year learning about construction, design, fashion, and how to live like a Dane. My time there was immensely challenging, but worth it nonetheless. I learned so much about architecture, but mostly about myself as well. I have since come back from Denmark, where I am finishing my fourth semester at SAIT!

My hobbies include boxing, hiking, drawing, and photography.

I also have a cat named Nala, who is currently 4 years old.
